Tower Bridge, late on a summer’s night as seen from London Bridge.
The bright lights change the vista completely.
This story comes to mind when I visit this area – excerpt taken from USA Today.
The English like to tell a story about the man who bought the London Bridge in 1967. He was an American named Robert McCulloch, and he eagerly bought the bridge for $2.5 million, only to realize later that he had purchased the wrong bridge. He mistook the ordinary London Bridge for the world famous London Tower Bridge. McCulloch denies the claim, but either way the story illuminates the fun Europeans like to poke at American’s perceived lack of geographic and historical knowledge.
Painted in a impressionistic, contemporary style with a limited colour palette.
